Studio Carrom

Studio Carrom

Studio Carrom is a multidisciplinary design studio based in London and Bangalore.

We collaborate closely with individuals and organisations to create work which speaks to diverse audiences.

We have designed a projection for Buckingham Palace to mark the launch of the UK/India Year of Culture, created a narrative animation for Women for Refugee Women, illustrated and art directed children’s books and museum family trails, and conceptualised live visuals for DJs & musicians.

An engaged, research driven and context specific approach underscores every project we undertake, from designing a piece of printed communication to developing a large scale installation.

Studio Carrom was founded by Priya Sundram and Nia Thandapani.

Studio Carrom is a multidisciplinary design studio based in London and Bangalore. We work on a variety of scales from postcard design to large-scale public spectacles. Our work is characterised by its use of bold graphics, illustration and its wide range of materials.

We have worked with Buckingham Palace two years running to produce projections for the Palace façade (launch of the UK/India Year of Culture 2017 and Queens Commonwealth Canopy, 2018). We have produced branded products for the British Council, annual reports for The University of Cambridge Museums, created an animation for Women for Refugee Women, illustrated and art directed children’s books, designed museum family trails, and created live visuals for DJs and musicians.

Our work is underpinned by an engaged, research-driven and context-specific approach. We have built our reputation on excellent client relations and a strong ability to understand and conceptualise our clients’ needs.

Studio Carrom was founded in 2016 by Priya Sundram and Nia Thandapani.
